Wiltshire Search and Rescue
We are a non-profit making organisation and rely on our own fundraising, along with donations, grants and sponsorship from the public and companies. We receive no regular statutory funding, and are a registered charity. All of our members are unpaid volunteers and we make no charge for our services.
There are many ways you can help by making a donation, helping us raise funds or joining us as an operational volunteer.

Saving lives
Wiltshire Search and Rescue exists to find high risk vulnerable and missing people. We are a voluntary specialist search team made up of 100+ members who respond across Wiltshire and the surrounding areas. We will co-ordinate and deploy our teams in a missing person search with the aim to bring them to a place of safety as soon as possible.
Anytime
We are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and are trained to operate across all types of terrain from the most remote areas of Salisbury Plain through to urban centres and around water. The team remain available to assist the emergency services at all times. When not on call-outs, the team trains regularly to maintain their skills and qualifications.
Trained Professionals
We are trained in search and casualty care along with a range of further skills and are called in when the emergency services need our specialist assistance. We have specialist teams such as drone, bike search, water, steep ground, search dogs and casualty carers who can be deployed as needed to assist with a search.
Local Team
Based locally, our volunteers are trained to the UK Lowland Rescue National Standards and fulfil the same role as Mountain Rescue, Coastguard Rescue and the RNLI. We work closely with all the emergency services across the county of Wiltshire and support our neighbouring Search and Rescue teams in other counties.
