WILSAR Appeal for Storage in the Devizes Area

6 March 2015  |  News  |  , , ,

Wiltshire Search and Rescue (WILSAR) are highly trained in searching for missing vulnerable people. What we can’t find though is somewhere to store some of our kit! Can you help?

We’re looking for somewhere in Devizes or within 5 miles, that is clean, dry and secure, providing about 40 square feet of space. We’re happy for it to be on either commercial or private property. Most of the kit stored would be promotional and training equipment so access requirements would be convenient to you.

Additionally we’re looking for somewhere to dry kit after a callout or training, for example our flood response suits. All our protective kit is valuable to us so we are trying to look after it as best we can so that it can do the same for us. Perhaps you could help with storage or a drying area, or better still, both?!

All WILSAR members are unpaid volunteers and the team receives no statutory funding so we rely entirely on fundraising and public donation. With this in mind, keeping the cost of storage down is important to us.

Dare we ask that you might even offer it for free?! We can offer publicity in return. If you think you may be able to help, please contact ‘Sly’ via pr@wilsar.org.uk who will be very pleased to hear from you.
